Julian Conway is a lawyer with a broad range of experience advising on commercial contracts, data protection and intellectual property matters.

Since qualifying as a lawyer, Julian has acted in a variety of technology related matters, including: on-premises and hosted software licences; intellectual property licences and assignments; support, hosting and maintenance agreements; healthcare and pharma matters; and multi-party research and commercialisation agreements.  Julian has also advised clients on the data protection aspects of technology related transactions, including data processing and data sharing agreements.

Julian also has in-house experience gained on secondment to a market-leading global software company.

Prior to his formal legal training, Julian worked in the private equity and corporate finance group at a law firm where he assisted on transactions.

Julian was an intern at the Financial Institutions department of Lloyds Banking Group and at a venture-capital backed online retail start-up.

Julian is a member of the Society for Computers & Law. Julian speaks conversational French having studied French Law at the University of Lyon as part of his legal studies.
