Laura is an experienced lawyer, with a focus on commercial contracts and privacy and data matters. Laura has advised a range of global clients across different industries such as media, technology, pharmaceutical, health care, and retail services. Laura trained and practiced in the United States for eight years, before qualifying as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2019. Experienced in both contentious and non-contentious work, Laura’s breadth of experience is one of her strongest assets, making her an exceptionally adaptable and well-rounded lawyer.

Upon transitioning her career to the UK, Laura worked in-house for a provider of real estate management technology. As in-house counsel, Laura has advised on a broad range of commercial contracts, where data protection and industry specific regulatory issues were vital to the business. While working in-house, Laura developed a passion for data protection and a keen commercial awareness that enables her to provide focused and practical advice.

As a data protection and privacy lawyer, Laura advised on: compliance with global privacy laws; complex data mapping and data subject rights requests; drafting data protection impact assessments, privacy and cookies policies and other necessary data protection policies and procedures; cross border transfers of data in and out of the EEA and the United Kingdom; and corporate due diligence projects from a data protection perspective.

Laura studied Law, obtaining a J.D. from the Roger Williams University School of Law, having previously graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Rhode Island College.
